CYBER SECURITY

Cyber security that holds up when it's tested

Plenty of providers will sell you cyber security. Far fewer will give you the kind that holds up on the day you're attacked. That gap is where most businesses get caught out, with a certificate that was never properly earned, a firewall nobody reviews, and an assumption that buying the product is the same as being protected.

THE REAL THREAT

Most attacks don't break in. They log in.

The idea of a hacker forcing their way through a firewall is out of date. Today's attacks go after your people. Someone clicks a convincing fake, enters their password, and the attacker walks in through the front door with valid credentials. Many of the incidents we see start with a single compromised mailbox. From there an attacker can read everything, redirect payments and impersonate your staff.

That's why genuine protection is as much about people and process as it is about technology.

LAYERED PROTECTION

What genuine protection looks like

Security works in layers, and those layers have to be in place before an attack, not bolted on afterwards. Every organisation we protect sits on a minimum security standard from day one. We don't make it optional, and we won't take on a business that refuses it, because knowingly supporting an exposed organisation helps no one.

On that foundation we add the controls modern organisations need. The goal isn't to tick boxes. It's to stop attacks early, limit their impact and keep your business operating normally if something does get through.

Around all of it, we train your people, because the strongest technical defences still depend on someone recognising when something doesn't look right.

  • Multi-factor authentication
  • Advanced threat detection
  • Email filtering
  • Immutable backups
  • Continuous monitoring
  • Staff security training
We thought we were covered until Keybridge showed us what we actually had. Now we are genuinely protected, not just certified on paper.

CERTIFIED HONESTLY

Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, certified honestly

Cyber Essentials is the UK's baseline security certification. Increasingly, it's a requirement for winning contracts, satisfying clients and maintaining cyber insurance cover. The reality is that it isn't difficult to get a business certified without doing the work underneath. Unfortunately, many providers focus on getting clients over the line rather than making sure they're genuinely protected.

What we won't do is fake it.

Whether you're pursuing Cyber Essentials or Cyber Essentials Plus, we focus on making sure the controls are genuinely in place and working as intended. We would rather lose the business than hand someone a certificate that won't survive a real attack. Honest certification is the only kind worth paying for, because the day it matters is the day you've been targeted.

THE NEW REGULATOR

Your insurer has become your regulator

The biggest change in cyber security over the past few years hasn't come from a regulator. It's come from the insurance market. Cyber insurers increasingly expect organisations to have controls such as multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, secure backups, incident response plans and staff training in place before they provide cover. Get them wrong, and a claim can be refused at exactly the moment you need it most.

Most IT providers still treat cyber security as a technology problem. We build your security around what insurers, clients and modern threats actually require, so the protection you invest in stands up when it's tested.

Frequently asked questions

Do we really need Cyber Essentials?+

Increasingly, yes. Clients, contracts and insurers are starting to require it. We'll tell you honestly whether and when it's worth it for your firm.

Do we need Cyber Essentials Plus or is Cyber Essentials enough?+

It depends on your clients, contracts and insurer requirements. We'll explain the difference and recommend the level that makes sense for your organisation.

We already have antivirus. Isn't that enough?+

Antivirus is one layer, and on its own it's no longer enough. Most attacks today use a stolen password rather than a virus, so protection has to cover identity, email, backup and training too.

What happens if we're attacked?+

We contain it, restore from clean backups, and explain in plain English what happened and how we'll stop it recurring.

Will tighter security slow our team down?+

Almost none of it is visible day to day. Good security should support the way your team works, not get in the way of it.
